SMiLE is a brilliant album that shows Wilson still has an unearthly talent for song construction

Paul, on the other hand, has been releasing putrid singles that make me come close to vomiting

oh, i don't expect anything really good. i don't care much for wilson to begin with, and paul mccartney sucks now. it could be interesting though.

Driving Rain had its moments. Especially the poppy "Tiny Bubbles" and the manic "Rinse the Raindrops." Lots of crap too, of course. The dude has never shown that he can fill an entire album by himself, so a collaborator could be a very good thing provided the collaborator isn't Michael Jackson. Check and check.

Just the idea of these guys doing an entire album together--after playing off each other's masterpieces briefly in the sixities until Wilson went bonkers--is pretty cool.
