Go see this movie if you like rock and roll history. Everyone is in it, from Cher to Coldplay to Bowie to the Monkees.

I remember listening to the Go-Go's on Rodney's show in the very early 80s. I saw him once walking down a street in LA. He had the classic 80s very long mullet, and he was very cool.

The movie has some pathetic moments, though. He's always been a bit of a hanger-on, so that comes across a little too much here. He spends time dealing with the death of his mother, and that can get a bit uncomfortable to watch.

Go see it and see X open the movie and John Doe at the end. :faint:

growing up in so cal, i used to listen to rodney on the ROQ all the time.

i have this soundtrack.

good stuff.

I totally wanted to see it in theaters but it was out for such a short time and hardly any cool indie movies come out by me (despite having two mega-plexes in the area), but it was at my Hollywood Video so I got to rent it. So good, so many great stories and cool people. It does have some sad moments, though, but overall, if you're a person who's dug alternative music, this is a movie you should see.

since this thread has been revived i thought the peope here might be interested that the y are making a germs movie. an actually motion picture of the germs story. should be good. they just started filming.
