Maximo Park are playing Scarborough

I read this on a website somewhere, Scarborough?! Is this actually true?!

Is it now 1965 and no-one bothered to tell me? This band are gonna be huge and I can't believe that they're gonna play Scarborough! It used to get all the big bands in like the sixties but not now! The only time big bands play in the county now are if they play Dolby Forest (Pulp, Beautiful South etc) or if they play in Dingo, sorry, FlamingoLand (various pop acts who I was perhaps being a bit generous in calling 'big' though I guess Lemar is quite talented in his own way).

Where did you hear that, and when is the gig scheduled for? I know they announced a tour for December recently (it's sold out already) and they're on the NME tour in October but AFAIK neither of the tours include Scarborough.

They're not that good live anyway, if you ask me. I'm still seeing them in December though, lol. Love the record though.

They're pretty decent. Nothing very special, but extremely fun to listen to.

I'm glad you have a good concert near you!

Ahhhh, it was their seaside tour! That cracked me up. More bands should just play pubs in random back of beyond towns.

Just got their album, it's definitely fun to listen to. One of the better revival albums I'd say.

Yeah, it's a good fun album. I can't stop listening to Postcard of a Painting, Going Missing and Limassol. And I Want You To Stay keeps making me cry.
