Screen legend Brando dead at 80

Screen legend Marlon Brando, who became a global star after his searing role in the film On the Waterfront, has died aged 80.

Brando, who had been ill for some time, was regarded as one of the pivotal actors of the post-war period.

He starred in more than 40 films, including 1953's The Wild One, where he starred as an iconic gang leader.

But perhaps his most famous role was as mafia leader Don Corleone in the 1972 classic The Godfather.

I just heard about this

that is sad,
but not surprising

and I think I enjoyed him best in Apocolypse Now

very Sad, He was an excellent actor awesome in Apocolypse Now and The Godfather...some of his early films when he was a "cool Dude"such as On the Waterfront are classics..

It seems like he went quietly and without much fanfare, in stark contrast with what a huge star he really is. It's a sad day and his presence will be missed.
