Mark Messier - Thanks

Thanks Moose for 25 years of great hockey memories.

Another legend of the NHL retires along with Al MacInnis and Scott Stevens.

Stupid lockout.

Al MacInnis is one of the classiest guys out there. It's sad to see him go.

It will be weird to see the Blues without Pronger and MacInnis anchoring their defense.

Gonna be a long year.

Ron Francis retired today too.

When will this end?!?

I speculated that the lockout would end some legendary careers but this is enough. These players who have retired deserved more than a simple blurb in the paper. I guess I can look forward to the retirement of their numbers and hall of fame inductions.

Thanks Ron for giving us your consistent excellence every year.

Wow, MacInnis, Messier, and Francis...what a bunch.

Al MacInnis in particular was always a big fave of mine, undoubtedly rubbed off from my friends in and around the Lou. He'll definitely be missed.
