Lol it's just that it almost sounds like the R IS there. but faint...just beyond the realm of reality.

Yes, it's the soft 'r'. Which seems to not exist in some American accents!

(Meanwhile, I can only do a hard 'r' if it's at the start of a syllable.)

I fully expect to see the top ten being hocked off in CD form as Top Ten Sizzlin' Barbecue Hitz For The Aussie Bloke within the next month.

Seriously, that top 5 gave my life new meaning.

Not sure what that meaning is yet.

But I'll know in time.

Ok, Travis brought "Working Class Man" to my attention. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS AND WHY ISN'T BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN COLLECTING ROYALTIES ON IT?!?!?? Seriously. Take every stereotype about Springsteen EVER. Put them in a computer. It will spit out THIS:

Working hard to make a living
Bringing shelter from the rain
A father, son left to carry on
Blue denim in his vein
Oh oh oh he's a working class man

Well he's a steel time deciple
He's a legend of his kind
He's running like a psyclone
Across the wild mid western sky
Oh oh oh he's a working class man

He believes in god and elvis
He gets out when he can
He did his time in vietnam
Still mad at uncle sam
He's a simple man
With a heart of gold
In a complicated land
Oh he's a working class man

Well he loves a little woman
Someday he'll make his wife
Saving all the overtime
For the one love of his life

He ain't worried about tomorrow
Cause he just made up his mind
Life's too short for burning bridges
Take it one day at a time

Oh oh oh he's a working class man
Oh oh oh he's a working class man

Ooh yeah
Yes he is
Well he's a working class man
Ooh
Ma ma . . . . . . .

i tell you he's a working class man
I tell you he's a working class man
I tell you he's a working class man

The US isn't a complicated land. We're fat, greedy and can't pronounce Melbourne properly.

But...BUT...at least we've got chicken.

The one thing that heartens me about the Triple M Top 100 is that neither of the U2 picks are One.

And hey U-Wen!

Also, WOOOAAAAAAHHHOOOHHHH HE'S WOOOAAAAHHHRRRRKKKIIIN' CLAAAYUUUSSS MAAAAAHHHHNNNNNNN!!!!!

God I hate that song. Fuck off Barnesy.

I'm so glad I've never heard this.

I should make you listen to 21st Century Breakdown, in the spirit of HMH of course.

Before reading the Triple M top 100, I'd just like to give props to Traviud for this:

"My thoughts on the Grammys would require far heavier censoring than that Lil Wayne performance."

That was a good one. Now, onto to the real show.

i'll never denounce Cold Chisel and Barnesy, because there's a part of me that still loves this music, but having Triple M on the radio all day over summer has made me very very sick of them and AC/DC.

There's a video of a drunk me singing along to Flame Trees on the internet. Don't look for it.

Regarding Khe Sanh, I had to study it in year 11 English.

If I didn't hate it before then, listening to it repeatedly in class did it.

WELCOME TO QUEENSLAND.
