After watching a couple of hours of Live Earth, I decided that I probably could put together a better looking list of bands in about 10 minutes, so here it is. The game is that you have to come up with a list of 30 bands (they must be active, making records and/or touring occasionally) you would most want to see live. It would have to be stretched out over two days, so come up with an opening and closing band for each day.

Here's mine:

Day 1
---------------
1. The Shins
2. Spoon
3. The Go! Team
4. Beck
5. Beastie Boys
6. The Killers
7. Franz Ferdinand
8. The Streets
9. Muse
10. David Bowie
11. Prince
12. Supergrass
13. Coldplay
14. R.E.M.
15. U2

Day 2
---------------
16. Flaming Lips
17. Wilco
18. Ryan Adams
19. Bob Dylan
20. Bruce Springsteen
21. Super Furry Animals
22. Oasis
23. Gnarls Barkley
24. My Morning Jacket
25. Radiohead
26. Interpol
27. Sufjan Stevens
28. TV On The Radio
29. White Stripes
30. Arcade Fire

:combust: Seriously. I think I would cry.

I remember making a thread like this a while back, before my tastes were actually good.

This would blow my fucking mind:

12.Pink Floyd*
13.Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Jason Bonham*
14.The Rolling Stones
15.Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Sean Lennon, and Dhani Harrison*

*1-3 = With original guitarist Kevin Cadogen
*1-11 = With Bill Barry
*1-12 = REAL Pumpkins lineup
*2-3 = One-time reunion of real GNR lineup, Slash and all
*2-4 = With Jason Newsted as the bassist(Cliff Burton would be better but he is dead), and playing mostly old-school stuff
*2-12 = Classic 70s Lineup
*2-13 = I won't call them Led Zeppelin, because it's not without John Bonham, but it's the next best thing.
*2-15 = Same thing, I won't call them the Beatles without John and George, but it's the next best thing. Could end the show with Hey Jude or All You Need Is Love or something like that.

The second half of Day 2 is just a fucking dream. Having the legends of legends marched out one after another...S&G, Dylan, Floyd, Faux Zep, Stones, Faux Beatles......the whole festival builds up to that.

Yeah, I really REALLY bent the 'must be active' rule.

[4]With original keyboardist Kevin Moore. Derek Sherinian does a guest appearance as Nicky Lemons (with the Migraines) for a return of I Don't Like You during Metropolis. At the end of the gig, Mike Portnoy fires Jordan Rudess and Kevin Moore returns to the band.

[7]Martin Phillipps, David Kilgour, Shayne Carter, and Andrew Brough all make guest appearances during The Bats' and The Chills' sets. Phillipps appears during The Bats' final song so he can stay on stage for The Chills' set. During The Chills' set, Phillipps and Kilgour reprise their Pop Art Toasters supergroup moniker for one song, a cover of The Avengers' Everyone's Gonna Wonder.
[8]The Neil Finn, Split Enz, and Crowded House sets are seamless, with Finn on stage the entire time. During Split Enz's set, Eddie Rayner announces the release of the Rootin' Tootin' Luton Tapes to mark the 30th anniversary of the recording session.
