Male opinion - less is more. I'd say it is not needed at all, but you women know better. I think my wife is beautiful with or without makeup.

I hate mascara. I never ever ever wear it. For the simple reason alone about rubbing your eyes. That crap is so messy. Definatly not worth the hassle. Then trying to get it off is always fun.

I do wear make-up. If I'm just going to school, it's a little bit of Blot Powder (controls shine), some concealer (for little things) and mascara (small amount). And some tinted lip gloss.

If I go out though, it's FUN to play with make-up. I don't know. Call me girlie, but I actuallyl enjoy blending eyeshadow and picking out colours.

I am NEVER a paint by numbers. I don't go heavy, EVER. But like HelloAngel said, there's nothing wrong with putting your best face forward.

ANd I never wear blush. Genetically red cheeks anyway.

I don't wear it. Except for chapstick.

I wear make-up...I have rosacea so my skin is perpetually red and splotchy--and if I'm exposed to alot of cold or heat, it gets worse. I look terrible and I *feel* terrible about myself unless I have it covered up.

I used to just throw on foundation and mascara, but it drove everyone nuts. "You look too pale." So then I had to start doing the eyeshadow, but I still "looked sickly" so then I had to add blush.

So, if I'm going to work or school, places where I know I will be encountering people and have attention on me, I do wear it and probably what alot of people would consider alot for every day. But I don't do eyeliner, lipliner, etc. But, if I'm going to a movie or the mall, I don't put stuff on. Only if it's a special occasion.

I've been getting alot of attention since I've been wearing more make-up. It's kind of weirding me out, like "Oh, I'm only attractive like this" and makes me even more reluctant to go without it....

MAC is good at matching too! The powder foundation is pricey, but it lasts a long time, doesn't make me break out and matches perfectly.

Before my skin got bad, I could wear only the powder and look great. Now I have to wear liquid and powder to make me look even and clean.

I recently decided I was sick of the make-up ritual and went to work without it. Everyone asked me if I was okay, said that I didn't look well. So while I want to believe nbcrusader...there you have it.

I almost never wear makeup. Sometimes I think I'd look better with it, but then I put some on and I don't think I look right. Also, I have reaaaally sensitive skin, so a lot of makeup just makes me feel physically uncomfortable. I will, however, wear concealer under my eyes (I feel you on the "death" thing, Laura) and lipstick if I have an interview or a special occasion I want to look nice for.

I spend a lot of time and money achieving that natural look.

I think alot of guys feel the way NB does.

My hubby prefers me without makeup and if he had his way, I'd never wear it at all. He says I look the most beautiful first thing in the morning with messy hair and pale skin. I want to believe him but I'm thinking its because he doesn't have his glasses on yet.

He sees this

I see this

I'll marry the man that says that to me. As long as he doesn't snore.

Same here. When I don't wear makeup, people (even complete strangers) come up to me and ask me if I'm feeling okay or why I'm crying.

It's a real self-esteem boost.
