The premise is this: Pick a band that HASN'T released a Best Of yet, and make a 'Best Of' for that band. The only rules are that each of your 'Best Of's must fit on no more than two 80-minute CDs(you can make a single disc if you so desire), and that the band you choose MUST have AT LEAST FOUR LPs out. Other than that, it's all up to you. Try to give your 'Best Of's a flow, and a creative title as well.

I'll go first:

Since I've Been Loving You: The Best Of Led Zeppelin

Disc 1: 1969-1971

1.Rock And Roll
2.Whole Lotta Love
3.Dazed And Confused
4.What Is And What Should Never Be
5.Black Dog
6.Since I've Been Loving You
7.Your Time Is Gonna Come
8.Gallows Pole
9.Ramble On
10.Heartbreaker
11.Communication Breakdwon
12.Immigrant Song
13.Friends
14.Going To California
15.Tangerine
16.That's The Way
17.Stairway To Heaven

Disc 2: 1972-1978

1.The Song Remains The Same
2.D'yer Mak'er
3.All My Love
4.Over The Hills And Far Away
5.Down By The Seaside
6.Bron-Yr-Aur
7.In The Light
8.The Rover
9.Houses Of The Holy
10.In My Time Of Dying
11.The Ocean
12.Kashmir
13.Achilles Last Stand

Don't Look Back in Anger: The Best of Oasis

Disc 1:

1. Turn Up the Sun
2. Mucky Fingers
3. Fuckin' in the Bushes
4. Eyeball Tickler
5. She is Love
6. Guess God Thinks I'm Abel
7. Don't Look Back in Anger
8. Let There Be Love
9. Champagne Supernova
10. The Hindu Times
11. Cigarettes & Alcohol
12. Magic Pie
13. The Masterplan
14. Live Forever
15. Little by Little
16. Sad Song
17. Whatever

Disc 2:

1. Acquiesce
2. Some Might Say
3. Slide Away
4. The Importance of Being Idle
5. Married With Children
6. Wonderwall
7. Don't Go Away
8. Idler's Dream
9. Going Nowhere
10. Morning Glory
11. Stay Young
12. Digsy's Diner
13. Lyla
14. She's Electric
15. Fade Away (Warchild Version)
16. Half the World Away
17. All Around the World

(For this Best Of's purposes, I did it based on overall song flow, not chronological + song flow. What do you guys think I should do?)

I can't think of any band or artist I like that hasn't released a best of. The only ones that haven't have released less than four albums.

*awaits the Radiohead 'best of'*

Oh lord, I can't believe I forgot about Radiohead. This is why I should always check my music library before I comment. Radiohead didn't enter my mind initially because I'd written off the idea of a Radiohead best of a long time ago. I think their albums work better as albums, not collections of songs. Still, I might give it a go.

Nice list, nam! But I would take the abomination that is D'yer Mak'er out and put in Thank You.

Haha.. I guess it's a tribute to reggae or whatever but I don't get it. Everytime it comes on the radio, I change the station!

Besides, isn't Thank You essential?

Thank You would go on Disc 1 because it was on LZII, and Disc 1 is already 80 minutes exactly. No room to add anything, and there's nothing I want to get rid of either.

Where's Bed of Roses and JUST OLDER??? :madwife:

I have yet to know MORE about them... but I'm getting into it :D

Sweet Illusions - The Best Of Ryan Adams

1. Easy Plateau
2. Nuclear
3. Firecracker
4. World War 24
5. La Cienega Just Smiled

12. Sweet Illusions
13. I See Monsters
14. Blue Sky Blues
15. When The Stars Go Blue
16. Dear Chicago
17. So Alive
18. September
19. Come Pick Me Up

Lifting Shadows Off A Dream: The Best Of Dream Theater, Vol. 1

(The KevMo years)

1. Pull Me Under
2. A Fortune In Lies
3. The Killing Hand
4. Under A Glass Moon
5. Only A Matter Of Time
6. 6:00
7. To Live Forever
8. Metropolis Part I: The Miracle And The Sleeper
9. Lifting Shadows Off A Dream
10. Learning To Live
11. Space-Dye Vest

Eat My Ass And Balls: The Best Of Dream Theater, Vol. 2

(The Sherinian/Rudess years)

1. As I Am
2. Lines In The Sand
3. Peruvian Skies
4. Endless Sacrifice
5. I Walk Beside You
6. The Spirit Carries On
7. Trial Of Tears
8. The Dance Of Eternity
9. About To Crash (Reprise)
10. Losing Time/Grand Finale

Now I see why DT has never made a Best Of! Including A Change Of Seasons would take up 23 minutes by itself despite the fact it's the best song DT (or almost anyone else) has ever made. And another glaring omission is Speak To Me, but I just can't squeeze it on to the second disc thanks to Lines In The Sand and Trial Of Tears being so damn long.

Didn't you read it? This is a compilation for the second half of Bon Jovi's career. For the first half there's already "Cross Road" and "Bed of roses" is already included there.
