I am particularly enamored of a few song lines at this moment in time.
Firstly I really enjoy telling people that "I'm full flame butain lighter." At this point in my life. Thanks Machine Gun Fellatio!!!! (Also I firmly belive that people should either a) Mix it all together like Kylie Minogue or b) Mix it up Tequilla on a non stop summer's day.)
Also I really enjoy the Lyric "Gorillaz rock your dome just like the one in Tokyo."

Any bad ass lyrics stuck in your head?

But seriously folks, Lately I have been appreciating this lyric from the song, 'Bring it On' off of Nick Cave's latest album, Nocturama:

The geraniums on your window sill
The carnations, dear, and the daffodil
Well, they're ordinary flowers
But they long for the light of your touch
And of your trembling will.

I've had 'it's getting hot in herre/so take off all your clothes' stuck in my head all day.

Seriously, I'm digging this line from Little Baby Nothing by Manic Street Preachers

Rock and roll is our epiphany
Culture alienation boredom and despair.

It sounds cool, I just need to figure out what 'epiphany' means.

Hmmm...

Well, U2-wise-this line is really interesting to me:

Like the sweet revenge of a bitter enemy-Hawkmoon 269

As far as lines from other artists go...I'm just learning the words to the Stones' "Gimme Shelter"-think there's some good lines in there.

War, children
It's just a shot away

Be an appropriate song for the times...

good thread.

these are some of my favorite ever, from the song "the drugs dont work" by the verve.

again, lyrics are always more powerful when you actually get to hear them in the song. here are some of my favorite from the song that i can recall. this is how i hear them, they might be slightly different on the official lyrics sheet in the album, i dont know.

all this talk of getting old
its getting me down my Lord

like a cat in a bag
waiting to drown
this time im coming down

now the drugs dont work
they just make you worse
but i know ill see your face again

if heaven calls
im coming too
just like you said
you leave my life
im better off dead

don't let anyone see us
say what they've seen and expose us
I've seen how they are and I hate it
they will never
talk about
where you've been

also, motion picture soundtrack

white wine
and sleeping pills
help me get back to your arms

cheap sex
and sad films
help me get back where i belong

i think your crazy
maybe
i think your crazy
maybe

stop sending letters
letters always get burnt
its not like the movies
they've fed us so many while lies

i think your crazy
maybe
i think your crazy
maybe

i will see you
in the next life

beautiful angel
pulled a part at birth
limbless and helpless
i cant even recognize you

i think your crazy
maybe
i think your crazy
maybe
i think your crazy
maybe
i think your crazy
maybe

i will see you in the next life

Favorite lyric right now:

But I digress, you play Sorry, I play Chess

Flippin' hell, I LOVE that song.

But my dreams, they aren't as empty as my conscience seems to be

~"Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who

Travis - Blue Flashing Light

Call me a name and I'll hit you again. You're a slut, you're a bitch you're a whore.
Talk to your daddy in that tone of voice, there's a belt hanging over the door.

Hmm I was also thinking in the silly vein "Don't go drinking bootleg hootch while you're on a spree."

Also the lines from one of my most favorite Rancid songs of all time:

You can take my money
You can take my time
But you can't take my heart it's in the city behind
