Bought this a couple of weeks ago, and now it's 1 of my favourites.

And lots of more great fantastic songs!
I'm going to buy 'Give em enough rope' tomorrow.
Or 'The clash' .

Great band!!!

I never really liked them, but I have a mint condition vinyl copy of London Calling from back in the day. Somebody ordered it from the record club and never played it. I wonder how much it's worth?

i remember rolling stone magazine's list of top albums of the 80's as the decade drew to a close. #3 was the Joshua tree, #2 was purple rain by prince, #1 was London Calling. the writeup was really good.
definitely one of my favorite albums of all time, wildly eclectic, melodic, and rhythmic. wonderful stories and lyrics - really every song was a single. reminds me of the White Album in how all over the place it is, with the common theme to every song really being good pop music. i just think it's WAY more effective and overall BETTER than the White Album. i NEVER go on a road trip without my copy of London Calling. welcome to the club. going to go listen to 'Wrong'em Boyo' straight away!
