OK, I totally need to go to Nar Nar Goon. Not just because it has a funny name and is easily accessible from Melbourne. Apparently it's known as the Mural Town, and you'll never guess what caught my eye in this picture:

Shit, that's pretty cool.

Looks like a bit of a ghost town.

I'm picking you spotted either the Keep Left sign or the steam train.

Ok, I'm sure my Principles of Broadcast Journalism is Bridget Jones.

She used to work with the BBC in television and did some print reporting for The Daily Mail, I think.

I've seen the movie once, but everything about her reminds me of Bridget Jones' Diary. Cracks me up.

Apparently it has a population of 1,000! But its railway station recently had its staff withdrawn, and that's never a good sign.

Though honestly, the nearest building looks just like a number on Melville Road here in Brunswick West. You think they're all disused and unpleasant, then at night you see lights on inside. I can't figure out what the fuck they are. Mafia clubs? I've seen old Italian men going into them. Radical nationalist places? One's got a sign calling itself the Patria House. Or just unlicenced brothels?

The Nar Nar Goon page on Wikipedia also has a photo of this mural, which I think is pretty neat too:

Definitely going to have to do a bit of photography there.

Or all of the above?

Radical nationalist Mafia brothels? Yeah, I can see that.

I'm honestly tempted to write a number of letters saying that their premises look like a rundown disgrace and see what sort of response I get.

The postman looks accurate given it's like a Vietnamese place name

Apparently it's a local Aboriginal name for koalas.

Personally, I just think it's hilarious. I've been intending to go there for ages ANYWAY, just to get a photo of a train pulling into the station with the station nameboard prominent beside it.

If we keep mentioning porn of little George's coc'nuts, we may just get some very disturbing Google ads ...!

So, other than coc'nuts and kid porn, what's been happening lately?

Second semester of university began today.

But my classes seem good. It's hard to make a judgement call from the first day, of course, but averaged out, this semester may actually have my best course selection of all six semesters. Here's hoping none that seem good right now turn out to be shit boring.

OH MY GOD today I saw an ad on the back of the bus that had "you're" misspelled as "your"!

FUCK, GUYS

THEY PAID FOR THAT AD

There is a shop on my tram route that sells "DVD's". Every time I see it, I want to jump off the tram, poke my head through their door, and scream "STOP BEING SO POSSESSIVE!"
