Little hand says it's time to rock and roll.
Ok so we all have those albums that are PERFECT to us – meaning you love every song and don’t skip over any. You just put it on and let it play. It still means as much to you as when it came out – maybe more. So what are they?

I will get the obvious out of the way:

U2:
War
JT
AB
HTDAAB (I love it)

Radiohead:
The Bends
Ok Computer
Kid A

Here are two that are particular to me –

August and Everything After – Counting Crows (although every song has basically the same melody)

Moondance – Van Morrison

Achtung Baby - U2
Joshua Tree - U2
Little Earthquake - Tori Amos
Boys for Pele - Tori Amos
Scarlet's Walk - Tori Amos
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Wilco
Summerteeth - Wilco
Kid A - Radiohead
Ok Computer - Radiohead
The Bends - Radiohead
Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
ágætis byrjun - sigur ros

That's a good start anyway.

I could actually list more than one for some (okay, all) of these...but...I went with the best of the best...though Bright Eyes was truly a toss-up:

Ryan Adams - Love Is Hell
Whiskeytown - Pneumonia
Jesse Malin - The Heat
Leona Naess - I Tried To Rock You But You Only Roll
Bright Eyes - Fevers And Mirrors

i've got a few:

U2:
boy
war
achtung baby

duran duran:
duran duran (81 debut)
rio
notorious
the wedding album
pop trash
astronaut
also arcadia's so red the rose

japan:
obscure alternatives
quiet life
gentlemen take polaroids

inxs:
underneath the colours
listen like thieves
kick
x
welcome to wherever you are
full moon, dirty hearts

the police:
outlandos d'amour
zenyatta mondatta
ghost in the machine
synchonicity could be on here if it wasn't for the atrocious mother! way to ruin a perfect album, guys! :madspit:

tears for fears:
songs from the big chair

I tend to listen to albums all the way through or not at all, but there are a few I will skip a few songs.

Albums I currently listen to all the way through and utterly adore:

Art Of Fighting -- Wires and Second Storey
Gersey -- Hope Springs and Storms Dressed As Stars
Steve Kilbey -- all solo work
Isidore -- Isidore
Stephen Cummings -- Falling Swinger
David Lane Compass
Steve & Russell Kilbey -- Gilt Trip
Hex -- Hex
Halogen -- Save The Ones You Love
Sea Ray -- Stars At Noon
Sleepwell -- Sleepwell
Remy Zero Villa Elaine
The Church -- Heyday, Starfish, Priest = Aura, After Everything Now This, Beside Yourself, El Momento Descuidado, and although far from perfect, I do love and almost always listen to Gold Afternoon Fix straight though. (mostly with The Church I skip the songs with Marty or Peter on vocals. :reject: )

I tend to go through phases where I won't listen to a band for years, sometimes when I pick it back up to listen to, I still adore it, other times I can't figure out why I loved it so in the first place.

Another full-album listener here!

That said, here are some of my perfect picks:
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Beatles - Rubber Soul and Revolver
Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Imperial Bedroom and Blood & Chocolate (both just a tiny inch better than Armed Forces ;))
Crowded House - Together Alone
Bob Dylan - Oh Mercy
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland
Thé Lau - De God Van Nederland
R.E.M. - Automatic For The People
The Scene - Open
Spearhead - Home
Tröckener Kecks - >tk
Urban Dance Squad - Mental Floss For The Globe
U2 - Achtung Baby and Zooropa

I can go on, but I don't want to devaluate the essence of the list.
And of course, I think I forgot about half of the albums qualified for the list.

Good call........ATYCLB is perfect!
as are JT, HTDAAB and of course Achtung Baby.

Oasis - Definetely Maybe (yes....even Digsys Dinner was a good song)
Oasis - Standing on the shoulder of Giants

2. Achtung Baby--U2
3. Jerusalem -- Steve Earle
4. Couldn't Stand the Weather--SRV
5. Globe Sessions--Sheryl Crow

(No particular order)

From the top of my head and in no particular order (except Achtung Baby will always be the most perfect album):

Achtung Baby, U2
Zooropa, U2
Pop, U2 ( a weak, perfect album if I can say that)
The Bends, Radiohead
OK Computer, Radiohead
August and Everything After, Counting Crows
Fumbling Towards Ecstacy, Sarah McLachlan
Grace, Jeff Buckley
Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea, PJ Harvey
Reset EP, Mute Math

Kind of Blue, Miles Davis

"lover's rock". if that song wasn't on that cd, it would indeed be perfect. same with either version of the self-titled album minus "police & thieves".

 london calling is one of my all-time favorite albums, and as far as u2 albums go, i prefer achtung baby to ATYCLB, hell some days i like october better than the joshua tree. "perfect" album doesn't mean much to me. i skip half the alkaline trio's "good mourning" album, and although i'd never say it's one of my favorites, i still would say i enjoy it a lot.

the stuff i listed is more like "albums where any song could be my favorite song".

which means if i listed the joshua tree, take it off. it can trip through someone else's wires.

Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby, Revolver, Pet Sounds, London Calling, Blonde on Blonde, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, Hunky Dory, Led Zeppelin IV, The Houses of the Holy, Dark Side of the Moon, Who's Next, Pinkerton, Clarity, Beneath Medicine Tree, Diary, The Photo Album, Lifted..., Black Out, The Execution of All Things, The Moon Is Down, (Whats the Story) Morning Glory

U2 - Achtung Baby, Joshua Tree, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head
Radiohead - OK Computer
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
The Police - Synchronicity
Oasis - Whats The Story Morning Glory
The Beatles - Abbey Road

R.E.M. - Automatic For The People
R.E.M. - New Adventures In Hi-Fi
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Pearl Jam - Ten
Pearl Jam - No Code
U2 - The Joshua Tree
U2 - Achtung Baby
Depeche Mode - Violator
Depeche Mode - Songs of Faith & Devotion

I could probably list more, but these are the main ones and I don't want my list to get gigantic. You can definitely see who my top five bands are!

U2 - Achtung Baby
U2 - The Joshua Tree
U2 - The Unforgettable Fire

Morrissey - You Are The Quarry
Blur - 13
T.Rex - Electric Warrior
Pearl Jam - Ten

Hunters & Collectors - Cut, Ghost Nation

u2:achtung baby
oasis: definetely maybe
coldplay: a rush of blood to the head

supertramp:even in the quitest moments

Depeche Mode - Violater
Tori Amos - Little EarthQuakes
Madonna - Ray of Light
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Jane's Addiction - Ritual de lo Habitual

The Cure - Staring at the Sea
The Cure - Wish
