Guys, but Rock and Roll has an EPIC intro and outro, not to mention a great driving pace throughout combined with Plant's piercing vocals! That said, Black Dog has an awesome guitar riff and drums. I don't mind either one going thru really.

Well, like I said at the beginning of this album, I like almost all the songs of the album better than Stairway To Heaven. Just never got into that song.

Well, I am completely sick of it . . . but that doesn't mean I still don't recognize it as a great song and what it's contributed to, not just the Led Zeppelin catalogue, but to pop-rock music in general.

Having said that, I do think Stairway is better than some songs off IV, it's just not better than the ones that remain above.

Stairway is certainly over-exposed, but one cannot allow FM radio to obscure the quality of such a great song. The band, and Plant especially, have generally done their best to mitigate the enormous legacy afforded it.

Levee failing to advance would be an absolute travesty, but I suppose that it is testament to the brilliance of the album that it is in danger of leaving.
