is a very difficult thing to do both emotionally and physically (as of late.)

SO,

Friday morning I flew out to sin city to meet up with my baby and go to a diamond exhibit Friday night. She was being flown out and put up by influential people, and lowly I paid for my flight and gambling money.

I rented a convertible as fast as I could and we checked into the new Ritz Carlton (opened that day) and I have to say it was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. It is about 30 minutes outside Vegas Proper and is located in an area called Lake Las Vegas. It is basically a resort area recently built into a valley between a couple of bluffs on a man made lake.

Friday night we saw the exhibit which comprised ten manneguins with a huge diamond necklace on each of their necks and digitally projected faces on their heads. It was a pretty bizarre and dramatic way to show a piece of jewelry.

As for celebs (besides me, of course  ) I saw:

-Jessica Simpson
-Jessica Simpson's husband (I think someone said he was a singer in the boy band 98 degrees)
-Sabrina the teenage witch
-Andy Richter (Conan's old sidekick)
-Tony Curtis

I think that was it, but who knows there could have been more.

So I planned on leaving Sunday night, but of course it was the "Blizzard of '03" in NYC. The first flight I could get back was late Tuesday night.

So basically it was 5 days of eating at the finest LV restaurants, drinking, and getting massages paid for by companies I do not work for. It was pretty fantastic, the only thing I could have hoped for was to actually win some money as it was the only thing I spent my cash on. I ended up losing after playing almost every game in almost every casino on the Strip. I found each one nastier than the next (except for the Bellagio) and I ended up losing everywhere I went.

The problem with this is that I love to gamble.

Anyway - I have a poker game tonight in which maybe I can win some money back...

yes, ouizy...leaving las vegas can be very difficult. and that is exactly why i don't. sorry you lost all of your money, but perhaps you could think of it as supporting the employees of clark county? i hope, at least, that you drank as many free cocktails as you possibly could. you hit some nice weather, too...

viva las vegas!

yeah Sicy wants to see Jessica simpson and Nick Lachey also:tongue:

What's with the Sbrina people always being in Vegas. When I was there a few months agao I met Soliel Moon Frye at a club

when is ouizyair going to be up and running?

good question.

well, there has been a design change.

I will now be implememnting standard 747's instead of 757's as I would like to use the "upstairs" space as a flying casino.

There will strictly be the following games:

Craps
Roulette
Blackjack
Let it Ride
Carribean Stud Poker.

None others.

And no damn slot machines, I still hear those bells when I sleep.

Sabrina (who I thought at one point was soooo hot - when she was in Maxim - I think) looked pre-pubescent...

me too.

I think I have only ever lost at that game, but I am always tempted to play.

I hate blackjack more than anything, and I am fully addicted to Carribean Stud...

i am a librarian, i live a bit south of las vegas, and i also never win at let it ride, but it's still my favorite casino game.

You need to get over Vegas and be online on a more regular basis in case I need some dating advice.

I got stranded in Phoenix during the great NYC Blizzard of '96. My weekend turned into 6 days. It was great but I also like blizzards and missed how quiet it is in NYC during a big snow.
