songs you dislike by musical artistes that you like

OK, no U2, considering half the replies would list 'Red Light' and the other half 'Refugee' (and possibly both).

Manic Street Preachers - Life Becoming A Landslide
I realise this is a huge fan favourite. However, it sounds too much like Bon Jovi for me to like. Great lyric though.
Oasis - Force Of Nature
I don't know, it seems a bit flat to me?

I've gotta think of more.

Waitress--Tori Amos
The First Time--U2 (Hey, at least it's not Red Light!)
Nazis on my Radio--Angie Aparo
She's Electric--Oasis

I'm sure there are others...

the clash--the right profile
rem--the entire reveal album

i'm sure there are more that i can't think of

"Enemy Fire" - Ryan Adams

I DO like it...I don't hate it...but I skip over it a lot...:reject:

Others have that problem too, and some of us blame the fact that it comes right after "Sylvia Plath" on the album, and we hate it when that song is over...so we automatically don't like what is after it.

I never need to hear this song again for the rest of my life, especially the over-the-top live version.

And though it may be blasphemous to fans, my least favorite Tori song is "Me & a Gun" followed closely by Happy Phantom.

U2 "Wake up Dead Man"

that happens a lot with albums i listen to, i think it's a valid line of reasoning

Whew! I was afraid all the Tori fans would stick me in the reject box for that one!

*whispers* I don't care much for Me and a Gun or Happy Phantom either. Wonderful songs in their own right--I just don't care to listen to them.

And what about Shiny Happy People by R.E.M.? It makes me want to :scream: and jump out a window.

I thought about this for a while, and here's some I came up with.

Stand - R.E.M.

Revolution 9 - The Beatles

Sexy Sadie - The Beatles

Goodnight - The Beatles

Fun, Fun, Fun - The Beach Boys

Call Me Lightning - The Who

Girl In The Dirty Shirt - Oasis

Stranger In A Strange Land - U2

Scarlet - U2

Drowning Man - U2

I'm sure there's quite a few more too...

REM - Shiny Happy People, Near Wild Heaven, Losing my Religion
all on the same album. The album had some of my
absolute fave tracks and then some of what I think is their
worst, a very uneasy album for me to listen to.

U2 - Lemon and New York although there are some remixes that
make these song listenable.

James - Hello and Seniorita

Radiohead - Push Pulk Doors

Pearl Jam - Satan's Bed and Whipping

to name a few...

Yertle, I've come to the conclusion that no one reads the original posts at all. (for more proof, see my 1991 thread)

so... U2 - Love Rescue Me

Moby - Jam For The Ladies, We Are All Made Of Stars
The Beatles - I Want To Hold Your Hand
Bj?rk - Alarm Call, I Miss You, Undo
Deftones - Back To School

etc.

I read the original post...Yertle just said no Red Light or Refugee...I happen to like Refugee.

And I'd like to add #9 Dream by John Lennon onto my list

Yes.

I don't know what the hell is going on in that song...but...no.

Fun, Fun, Fun - The Beach Boys

Mine's different from yours-I'd have to say "Be True To Your School" is my least favorite from them.

Aerosmith-Girls Of Summer (gah, NEVER do a song like that again, guys, okay?)

If I had to pick a song I'm not a fan of from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, I'd have to say "Century City".

And I happen to like BOTH "Red Light" and "The Refugee" from U2.

My least favorite song by U2 is "Some Days Are Better Than Others".

That's all I can think of right now.

Angela

Queen - Radio Ga Ga
U2 - Miami
PJ Harvey - Horses in My Dreams, Man-Sized Sextet
Beatles - Revolution 9
Madonna - American Life, Hanky-Panky, Die Another Day
Doors - any song that has a bloody long, tedious organ solo

Yeah Revolution 9 isn't the Beatles, its Yoko.

Can't Stand Wild Honey Pie either.

REM - Monster apart from What's The Frequency Kenneth

u2 - most of the october album, and a good deal of the war album.

radiohead - knives out, karma police

pearl jam - get right. i liked this one at first, but wow, the vocals are atrocious, especially in the beginning.

future sound of london - moscow

U2 - Grace
Radiohead - Pulk/pull revolving doors
Elliott Smith - Pretty Mary K
Pearl Jam - a few from Vitology. Like Satans Bed
Mogwai - Robot Chant

U2-Silver and Gold
Pearl Jam-Bushleaguer
Queen-Who Needs You
Van Halen-entire Van Halen III CD
Dave Matthews Band-Everyday(if that's the one with the video where the ugly guy's hugging everybody)
Aerosmith-Girls Of Summer
RHCP-This Is The Place
