OK so I made the single favorite line thread, now I'm doing least favorite.

This has to be from someone who you otherwise think is a great writer, but this line makes you go , or , or  , or someother dissatisfied smilie.

Now we talk about U2 lyrics enough in here, and so that we won't get two pages of "freedom has a scent..." U2 IS OFF LIMITS!!!

"Mickey Mouse is made out of a cow"
-Bush

I think that's how the line goes but then again it comes from a song where people are still trying to figure if it's
"There's no sex in your violence"
or
"There's no sex in your violins"

Anyway, I hate the line.

It's actually "Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow", a line directly taken from a Bowie song.

(I say this as a Bowie fan, not Bush. Bush is trash.)

"where's Mike McCready? my god, he's been ate!" - Pearl Jam

"You cut me down a tree and brought it back to me, and that's what made me see, where I was going wrong" - Coldplay... WTF??? :|

*anything that comes out of chris martins mouth*

Neil Young's Walk On--

I remember
the good old days,
Stayed up all night
gettin' crazed.
Then the money
was not so good,
But we still did
the best we could.

And all of the lyrics for "Buffalo Springfield Again"

"Tryin' to remember what my daddy said
before too much time took away his head." from "Prairie Wind

And numerous cringe-worthy moments from someone I like very much.

Which happens to be the line I was going to pick. That line sucks. :|

I think this is even harder than the favorite single line thread!

Umm...hmm...I guess, sticking with Ryan, I'd go with:

"Felt like an engine that just didn't need a tire" (Gimme A Sign)

*resists urge to talk about last lines of "Kite"*

Hmmm...

"She could see from my face that I was flying [f***ing] high" James Blunt

The nineties bring new questions, new solutions to be found
- Learning To Live by Dream Theater

Wow, way to date the song, Myung. The few Dream Theater songs written by bassist John Myung are excellent, but that one line just sounds really bad and dated nowadays.

'I've got soul but I'm not a soldier' from All These Things That I've Done by The Killers - an awful awful line that destroys what would be a perfectly good song and for me makes it completely unlistenable.

I agree. I love that song, but that line is just awful.

"Hey, shut up/hey, shut up" from Andy, You're A Star being repeated over and over is awful as well.

Too bad we can't talk about U2 because "life should be fragrant, rooftop to the basement" is by far one of the worst lines I've ever heard in popular music!

And Bono repeated it for extra emphasis at Slane! :banghead: :|

I'll stop now. :shifty:

Ha! Forgot about that one. There seems to be a theme emerging here...

I dunno, I kinda like that line...a local cover band (blend)plays that song and when that line comes up, everyone in the bar jumps up and down and sings along...

a play on words ya know?
