A friend of mine got me hooked on the A & E reruns, and now I can't stop. This show is absolutely awesome; I've been watching for four months and have yet to see a bad episode. The writing is superb.

Adam: Look guys, I got a Springfield spoon for my spoon collection.
Edge: Oh boy, here we go...
Bono: Wow, how many is that now Adam?
Adam: Nine. If I didn't have my spoons, I'd go insane.
Bono: Can I see it?
*adam gives bono the spoon, bono throws it away*
Adam: My spoon!

For a long time Law and Order was my favourite as well. Definitely the best American 'cop' show.

I agree. I prefer the older episodes though. The current cast doesn't match the previous ones. I think what appeals to me most about that show is that it's all about the story. They don't "fluff" it up with the personal lives of the main characters. Also, the writers keep you glued because the good guys don't always win.

holy frick...I was just thinking about posting this topic tonite after watching L&A! I've just recently become addicted to it. It doesn't leave you with a happy, mushy, everything turns out well ending. The situations are complex and I like that.

Anyways, just thought I'd give it my thumbs up.

Love It - Briscoe is my fave, he plays that character so well! The older ones are good - this sounds dumb, but I love the theme music.

I've seen it maybe once.

I'm in love with Boston Public right now.

Ohhh, I will have to disagree with you there. I say that Homicide: Life on the Street is the best. But they don't play that on Court TV anymore. But I do like Law and Order.

haha, was it the constant showing of Law and Orders on New Year's Eve which prompted this thread? Because that's how I spent my New Year's Eve and as boring as that may sounds, I have no complaints!

Yes, indeed, a superb, superb show! Definitely my fave out of the non-sitcoms!

(I saw part of Dirty Dancing the other day - Orbach was Jennifer Grey's father!! Was I the only loser not to know that???)

Okay, I love this show as well. My sister and her best friend are obessesed with it though. One friday night they stayed in and made charts of all the different seasons with the different DA's, and detectives so they could keep track while they watched. Ha! My favorite episodes are with Chirs Noth. I'm glad it's on two or three times a day!

Here's a rough outline of the cast, to help out WildHoneyAlways and her friends.
