This can only be good, even if I've no idea what the latter two are.

Bubble tea is a drink of Korean origin, made of tea, fruit or milk flavouring, with either chewy tapioca balls or fruit jelly cubes added if desired. You can have it iced or blended like a slushie. My preference is green tea with pineapple-lemon flavouring, blended, with pineapple jellies.

This one is actually kiwi:

Longcat to scale against the tallest buildings in the world.

 Reggo, how are you going?

Still rather inarticulate with rage. I did send a text message to Gavin asking him a favour; to tell Dave he's a dillhole and to consider himself lucky if I ever speak to him again.

I hope you are plotting some sweet vengeance.

So, here we go.

This here is a hut thing at the beach:

This is a typical thing in Timor, kind of like an outhouse where everyone sits because it's hot.

This is a cooking hut - extremely smoky inside, and generally the people who cook in them have never seen what the place looks like lit up, only ever by the light of their cooking fire. Lots of them have lung problems due to smoke inhalation.

And this is a fairly typical Timorese house out in the mountains, close to one of the villages. The cooking hut sits just to its left.

Continuing on, this is a toilet at the back of a house:

And this is the inside of that toilet:

And the kid of one of our local hosts playing on the beach.

I haven't really eaten that much weird stuff... probably snake, every kind of sea creature that exists, swallows' nests, pigeon, most normal animals, frogs, snails, the usual, really.

Most of us probably haven't eaten the majority of that! Find anything interesting while you were away?

Pretty cool shots. That cooking hut doesn't seem to be the most pleasant place to be ...

This is a bat being sold on the side of the road (people eat them) trying to gnaw itself free.

A local flower of some sort.

And there were monkeys!

Oh, and some crazy guys trying to impress the girls by building a small ramp on the beach and jumping bikes off it:

The most interesting thing was bat, really, most people can't afford to eat meat at all. We only had it once or twice a week.

Pretty cool shots. That cooking hut doesn't seem to be the most pleasant place to be ...

Those cooking huts were terrible, I stepped into a well-ventilated one with windows and my eyes started watering after literally ten seconds, and I had to get out. I couldn't even begin to imagine what the standard to-the-ground one without windows is like.

This is insane. Not in a "zomg I can't believe they do that" sort of way, just a great shot, and I'm not sure I'd want to be buying "dinner" that's trying to escape ...

And a couple of kids from orphanages. Most of them actually know their parents, it's just that their parents can't afford to look after them, so they're sent off to live in an orphanage. Very sad.

When we saw it I was like "lol wat" then I was like "holy shit people eat that" and then "oh the poor bloody thing".
