Here's your chance to take the role of a big-whig movie producer. You get to decide what type of film you want to make, you get to decide how long the film will be, you get to pick your director, cast, crew, and all the bells and whistles you want to set.

The idea here is to submit your own fantasy film concept for everyone to admire or crap on. Below I will outline all the required information and positions you have to fill with current, working professionals in the business. There will also be a number of optional posistions and info you can choose to fill should your film require/support them.

If you aren't that insightful into the behind the scenes working of your favorite films, just go here:

www.imdb.com

If you liked the music in any given film, just type the movie into the search engine, click the "MORE" button under the cast and crew list, and see who wrote the music. Same goes for art direction, photography, costume design, etc.

THIS IS IMPORTANT

PLEASE follow the following rules and movie pitch format as exactly as you possibly can...

#1. All selections for cast and crew must be current, working professionals, meaning you can't choose a retired/dead director and cast De Niro form 1974 to star.

#2. You must fill all the required information. If you don't know any art designers off the top of your head or something, please do what I said earlier and browse IMDB for somebody.

#3. Your "What Kind of Movie" description should NOT include a plot description of any kind. I only want genre, subgenre if applicable, setting, and approximate runtime. THAT IS ALL. I don't care what your film's storyline is. That's why you have to hire an appropriate writer.

#4. When assigning your positions, please include the exact format I provide below, naming your person/persons underneath the bolded headlines, with one or two previous films they've done in parenthesis (see below for example)

#5. For profiles like lead and supporting actors, you may include more than one individual (encouraged really), but please limit your leading cast to no more than 4 actors. Everything else, like director, writer, director of photography, etc. you may only choose ONE entry.

Here we go, this is the format you will use, including basic examples when neccessary to better explain what I'm looking for:

But I will do this.

Each member is limited to only THREE (3) entries

Thank you. :)

You're right about Christina Ann Wilson though, I do like her work.

I've worked with Reg in the past. He's way too hands-on for me. Like, WAY TOO hands on.

I'll be willing to discuss if Screwtape can explain what PT is a "terrible" writer and director. I could almost see calling him a bad writer if you've only seen Magnolia, and even then, it's still a matter of opinyun.

But calling him a terrible director?

Oh, and I just saw that Scorsese is directing an adaptation of Don Winslow's "The Winter of Frankie Machine".

Scorsese's return to the Mafia.

Lance, you fucking bitch. What kind of film-o-file leaves out aspect ratio?

His movies are hollow and emotionless. It is all flash but no substance. Take Boogie Nights for example. You are exposed to these colorful characters that go nowhere and you leave the theatre taking away nothing. He can create interesting characters but does nothing with them. He tries to create epics but they always hopelessly fail because epics are all about the change in characters. Like I said before, he never does anything with those characters.

That's a side project. This is art - this is necessary in order to advance the human condition. The Xfiles movie will just fucking rock. PLus, with all the dopeness of the Xfiles movie - honestly - is the world ready for that yet? I'm not sure. I do know the world is ready for a movie with me and Monica Bellucci. I'm ready, that's for damn sure. And I'm ready right now. Just thinking about it gets me ready.

YLB, your movie is disappointing. I expected better.

Though, good call on letting Khan do the editing. He's been genetically engineered for such projects.

:(

I wish I could give a small outline of the movie, it would be more awesome than it looks on paper. Fuck it, I'm saying it anyway:

Michael Keaton's an aging hitman working for Michael Caine. He keeps his career secret from his wife and kids (Weaver, Portman, Labeouf), and naturally they have strained relationships. Keaton takes out evil crime lord Willem Dafoe, only for his son, Christian Bale, to vow revenge for his death. It'll be a gritty crime drama while still being a family drama. I just love Michael Keaton so much that I'd have to cast him as the lead.
