Yep, that'd do it... or either of those quiet ones into Bullet...

I might just be having a spot of electronic domestic blindness re: Drown with Me...

Melbournian bass players! Isn't the Crowdies' bassist from Melb. too?

Dear Porcupine Tree,

I will love you forever if you play Fadeaway at least once in Australia. Even if John Wesley has to sing it. I don't care. Wes has a good voice anyway.

Regards,
Ax

Dear Ax,

Damn, how did you know we'd be reading a U2 board?!

You're a creepy backwards stalker. You get nothing.

Regards,
Porcupine Tree

Also - did not expect 'Heartattack' to sound like that.

More lovely bass on Strip the Soul...

How about The Fly --> With Or Without You? Oh, wait ...

Well, Orchidia's on its way. Can always send over the studio Drown With Me too.

Nick Seymour is from Benalla, but came to Melbourne to study. Paul Hester was a Melbourne lad. Hessie ...

Dear Porcupine Tree,

Since YOU are stalking ME, I think you owe me a little something. So I'm going to continue to expect Fadeaway, and on top of that, you bloody well better debut And The Swallows Dance Above The Sun live. But without that creepy sample at the end.

Cheers,
Ax

Given your fondness for the bass, I suspect you'd rather appreciate Slave Called Shiver on Stupid Dream - and I've already sent you Hatesong.

Also, I'd love to know if anybody's ever overheard me singing along to Strip The Soul and what they've thought. Strip the soul! KILL THEM ALL!

Dear Ax,

That's a pretty poor effort at blackmail. Just for that, you get nothing but creepy samples at EVERY SHOW. All night. Bwahaha.

Yours,
PT

PS: You'll love our 12-minute cover of One, also.

I = OWNED.

(Incidentally, the "creepy sample" I'm referring to at the end of And The Swallows Dance Above The Sun is this guy saying "I want you to put Felix's penis on me". Oooookay ...)

Mmmm, bass.

They'd probably think "Sigh, another metal fan."

For some reason I thought Collapse the Light into Earth would be harder...

I'll need to give it another listen or two, now that I know what to expect... But I certainly don't dislike it on first listen

Yeeeahhh. It's a really amazing song otherwise, and I've learnt to tune out the sample. The early PT stuff, i.e. from the late eighties when SW was just mucking about, is really out-there and bizarre. I love the song title Message From A Self-Destructing Turnip though!
