I think the performance I would have loved to have seen live, it would be the "Kite" performance in Australia ......dedicated to Cate.

God, the end of Bad is amazing. Everything from "if you should ask" ... back when I was eleven, I heard that for the first time, and it just left me speechless. I played the song over and over again. Apart from The Shadows, it was the first time I really realised just how intensely powerful music can be.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Indian Summer Sky.
I had a bout where I was rather obsessed with this song.

And then Bruce is right back with the sexual innuendo

With her killer graces
And her secret places
That no boy can fill

Damn, that's awesome.

I got Bad/40 -> Sunday Bloody Sunday.

But One Tree Hill closed, so I can't complain.

I got that in Boston and Melbourne.

Then I got it leading into SBS in Auckland.

I was only truly,madly,deeply in love with ISS for a short time, then I got over it real quick like. It seems so weak compared to ASOH and Wire

I think the definitive performance of Kite is from Melbourne I. The second solo never stops.

The light that strikes the tallest trees will not light a way for I, since I'm photophobic and it'll just blind me. Fuck you, light, FUCK YOU!

Comments: The First Time is played in full for the first time ever. Discotheque is played for the second and final time on the Vertigo Tour. Walk On makes its Vertigo Tour debut; it is performed acoustically and Bono forgets the lyrics.
