it's not just china and its manufacturers to blame; everyone from the manufacturer to the distrubutor to the retailer to the consumer is at fault to some extent or another.
 
thank god i don't have kids so the cold medicine is a non-issue for me. that's not to say it doesn't piss me off, though. lead in cold and cough medicine for an infant? that's just wrong. and unacceptable. i can't believe these companies thought they could get away with cutting corners like that.
