Ok let's see:

1) I like that second song hiding in Mercy, the part without the inane lyrics

2) Pop, I don't understand what needs to be "rerecorded" it wasn't perfect, move on people

3) I think that U2 was being pretty greedy about why they don't like that album

4) Can't wait to listen to your version of Please Phanan

5) I really like IGWSHA and Playboy, though I hated Playboy at first. As with Please, however, single version of IGWSHA is SOOO much better

I love the passion of Mercy. That is big thing the rest of their current songs lack.

i especially hate larry's criticism of the album. and passengers. basically, to sum up his thoughts in a nutshell, he doesn't like anything new, interesting, or "out there." he just likes safe, middle-of-the-road music.

i wish they'd make another passengers-type record just to spite him cuz seriously, what's he gonna do? leave? and give up that cash cow? puh-leeze.

That's another U2 confession I need to make

1) I think U2 could survive if one of their members left
2) that member I'm referring to is Larry. Why is he necessary again?

i just wish they'd record political songs again. overtly political stuff. and actually release it. not chicken out and rewrite the lyrics to inane crap like "you give me something i can feeeeeeeel yeah yeah yeah yeah"

I'd have to agree with this.

I'll bet an officially released version in all of its mastered glory would be fantastic.

Larry has always been dead weight to the band. He refuses to do anything interesting and hates change.

exactly! and it bugs me even more how damn outspoken he is about it! he's like an old person about it, except he's been like that since before he was old. he's admitted he's a right-brained guy, but geez. at least TRY to use the left side of the brain for once!

the fact that what, 6/8? is an "interesting" time signature to him, speaks volumes
