Jungleland is one my five favorite songs ever.
:hmm: my top five is really hard to pin down. but when i used to boldly claim what my favourite song ever was, people looked at me funny. now i've kinda realized i shouldn't go further than saying "this is my favourite song by this artist"

I was listening to it again last night, and the song pisses me off. I love it so very mcuh, but when I Really think about what the song's about, I feel like....it should be more or something. LIke seriously, what is that song even about? The music is beautiful and I love Bono's voice, but if I listen to the words I'm left looking for a little more

lol, it just popped in my head one day, to be honest. i pictured the "you're the real thing...yeah the real thing" part played by an accordian. and i was like "that's hilarious!.....i should have that played at my funeral!" so i decided the accordian will be bono's vocals, the bagpipe will be edge's guitar :giggle:

one time for a thread i ranked their top thirty songs. i saved it to a txt file, along with how i ranked their albums and shit for times like this. my top thirty songs:

1. even better than the real thing
2. seconds
3. 11 o'clock tick tock
4. discotheque
5. a day without me
6. heartland

8. promenade
9. the unforgettable fire
10. where the streets have no name

2. Please (Single Edit)

The only bad thing about the single version of Please is the use of strings. That, and the vocals aren't as good, but obviously the guitar solo at the end is required.

I made an edit of both versions some time ago - it's the best of both worlds.

oooh now that i'd love to hear

i have several U2 confessions that I've been dying to make recently:

1) I do not like U2's "sexy" songs
2) I hate Bono's falsetto.
3) I REALLY hate Bono's falsetto
4) Did I mention I hate Bono's falsetto?
5) I think that only half of AB is really all that great

Ok I feel better now
