Joshua Tree Wild Fire

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Wow this is the first I have heard of this. I am in San Diego, south county. It would be sad if "the Joshua Tree" which is now only a memorial burned......but there are TONS of Joshua trees in the park and region. They are gorgeous. Sad if too many of them burned. I don't like fires.

I will try to find out from some other friends if they have any more info on this. Thanks for posting!

On the news tonight they talked about the wildfires and showed a brief clip of some Joshua trees with the sky around them all orange from the fire. I have no idea exactly where these trees were or if they were anywhere near where THE tree was, though.

As for the famous U2 Joshua tree, didn't it fall down a long time ago anyway?

"the" tree is in Death Valley National Park, quite a distance from the fire near Joshua Tree National Park
