johnny boy

many thanks to kieran mckorkindale for pointing this out to me.

according to my itunes, i've played "generation" more than any other number since i first got it in december.

not sure quite how to describe the sound...other than AWESOME.

watch the video and then go buy the cd.

You Are the Generation That Bought More Shoes and You Get What You Deserve!

I love that song. It's the only song by Johnny Boy I've heard - have you heard anything else by them and if so, were those songs good too?

Hm, after seeing about a minute of the video, the version I heard was a different mix. More dancey and with some "YEAH! YEAH YEAH!" bits in it.

I think I actually prefer that version.

The yeah yeah yeahs are there. I think you didn't watch long enough.

Great song.

Ah, okay. The version I have has the "yeah yeahs" in the beginning.

Or I could just be horribly confused.

that crazy kieran mckorkindale!!

this is really fantastic.

he needs to recommend more stuff to us.

*edit: k, i'm listening to it again... kind of an amped up version of that camera obscura song that someone recommended to me so long ago. i'll definitely seek this one out.
