John Peel - Death of a legend

John Peel, radio 1 dj has died at the the age of 65. Sad Day.

He truly was a legend. British radio will not be the same without him. In fact, music won't be the same without him

I know. I couldn't believe it was the news headlines.

I listened to his shows quite a bit.

It's very sad. I'll miss him.

Thats very sad, The man was an legend, , He probably did more for british music than any other person..were would we be without all those john peel sessions. wonder how many famous groups were first heard on one of his shows?

If it wasn't for John Peel, we certainly wouldn't have had the Smiths, Pulp or New Order

and apparantly he had a hand in the success of David Bowie as well
