Ex-Nets star Jayson Williams was found not guilty on three of eight charges, namely aggravated manslaughter and assault, but was found guilty of four charges, including tampering with evidence and witnesses and fabricating physical evidence.

apparently a witness that sees the person pull the trigger just isnt enough evidence these days, the jurors must actually witness the crime themselves to decide on a guilty decision

when that witness is benoit benjamin, a man who once showed up for an nba basketball game with two left sneakers, you can't fully trust his opinion... the overwellming thought was that the aggrivated assault was too much, but that he should've been convcted of reckless assault. the problem i have isn't neccesarily with the verdict, the problem i have is that the 4 things he WAS convicted of don't carry a manditory jail sentance, and the majority of people with a clean record go with no jail time for those offenses. one would think covering up a man being shot would be worth at least a few years. that's why i'm not a lawyer.
