Excellent, doubly so given that there is another schlocky dose of Hellboy coming soon

El Laberinto Del Fauno is in my top 5 films of the decade.

Is this confirmed?

Del Toro > Jackson, every minute of the day.

Jackson will hopefully be on set to work with some of the actors, he's very good with that. Especially as some of them will be returning (McKellen, Holm, maybe Blanchett and Weaving?). And it would be nice to have a little bit of stylistic semblance to the originals in the design department, if not in its cinematic style.

Just what the series needs...honestly, I wish it was all creepy looking and resembled nothing of the Middle-Earth we saw before...sorry, but The Hobbit is a retread of a lot of elements of LOTR (or the other way around since it was published first)...it'll be a colossal bore if it's Jackson incarnate again.

Hmm. I hope it's not going to be the case of too many cooks in the kitchen, with del Toro directing and Jackson producing.

And interestingly enough del Toro is on record saying that he doesn't like Tolkien.

He's still involved as he is the executive producer.
