I was watching and just saw that. Way to go, Ireland!!! I don't think the Winter Olympics are really their strong suit, so that's really exciting!

I saw that too!!

Swedish TV made a long reportage about it and inteviewed the Irish fans that were there to cheer their competitor and they were so excited and had the lovely irish accent.

They talked about how he would be paraded at home if he got a medal and how this was historic in the irish sport. Swedish TV really have made some great reportage during these games, they even got me hooked on this event because of the Irish. LOL

When ireland wins something it transcends boundaries. And when an australian speaking irishmen comes 4th, well what more is there to say?
