If I'm just on the computer or whatever I tend to just leave my iPod on shuffle unless there's something in paticular I really wanted to listen to. It's a good way to rate songs and sort through them, finding songs you like you never really listened to and songs that you discover you don't really want on your iPod at all. I don't see a point in keeping anything you'd rate under 3 stars on your iPod unless it's part of a whole album and you want the entire album on there for whatever reason.
