I am not your girlfriend.

Seriousy...if you can get there...$22 is pretty cheap. I heard Screaming Flower will put us up for the weekend!

Where is Lilian...she should make the drive so I can buy her a beer (legally).

Unfortunately, I'll be the emcee for my sister's wedding reception that weekend.

And even though it would be the most fulfilling experience of your life to see me live and in glorious performance, admission is by name only.

And my oh my, am I ever the tuxedo's best friend.

:sexywink:

Review...day one:

Head of Femur - missed them (but heard they weren't worth it)
Pelican - Missed em. :(
The M’s - again....missed em.
AC Newman - just caught them...from what I was able to see
Magnolia Electric Company - ok
Four Tet - awesome show. so much energy.
Broken Social Scene - THE BEST IN SHOW....I really enjoyed their live show! I need to see them again and again.
The Go! Team - Spice girls meet indie rock...went to go get pizza
Prefuse 73 - STILL getting pizza
Death From Above 1979 - just got our pizza....I am not a fan of "wall of guitar"
Tortoise - nice music, but I felt it was a little to "jam band" for me. We took off early.

pizza

*jealous*

Thunderbirds Are Now! - missed them (are you suprised?)

Dungen - heard them JUST as I got there...I need to hear more...they sounded
great...except for the gutarist was having some issues)

Xiu Xiu - Very cool band from Sweden (at least, thats what someone said) - I enjoyed them. Another one worth checking out.

Out Hud - Another good band....the lead singer/dancer danceed like a wild man.

The Hold Steady - I had heard of them...couldn't figure out why...they are from MINNEAPOLIS  They were fun in a "frat rock" way. I thought they may have been influenced by the Pogues.

Andrew Bird - STOLE THE SHOW!!!! AMAZING. He alone would have been worth the $25 I spent on a two day pass. I plan to buy everything I can find by him.

Deerhoof - Another good band.

The Wrens - second only to Andrew Bird. I really like their, but I was standing near the back...and the wind was swirling, doing wierd things to my listening experience.

Les Savy Fav - Friggin' fun band. Not the most talented, but probably the most entertaining/fun band of the weekend.

The Decemberists - a close third behind the Wrens. They were really good.

I really hope the do this again (yearly)!

Xiu Xiu isn't from Sweden :| they (or he... because Xiu Xiu is mostly just Jamie Stewart) are from San Jose, California

Deerhoof is great, angular guitars and all that

you lucky bastard

Xiu Xiu is absolutely not from Sweden. I'm pretty sure they're American but they could be Canadian or British. Jamie Stewart, I think, is the singer.

Dungen

but the world must know Xiu Xiu, awesome weird music
what was their (Xiu Xiu) set-list?

thanks for clearing up the Sweden thing.

I would not have a clue on the set list...up until Sunday, I had never heard of them. It must be posted somewhere.
