This was much harder than I thought. There were a lot of great male actors, and I had to stop thinking of names because my list was getting too long. There are a few more female actresses that I didn't have room for. Oh well...

DIRECTORS

Jonathan Demme (Philadelphia, Silence Of The Lambs)
Oliver Stone (JFK)
Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire/Almost Famous)
Ron Howard (Apollo 13/Beautiful Mind...)
Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump/Contact/Back To The Future(s)
Michael Mann (The Insider)
Sam Mendes (American Beauty)
Peter Weir (Dead Poet's Society)
Woody Allen (can't pick just one)
Martin Scorcese (can't pick just one)

ACTORS
Sean Penn (Dead Man Walking, I Am Sam, The Interpreter, Mystic River,...)
Tom Hanks (Philadelphia,...)
Russell Crowe (The Insider, Gladiator, Beautiful Mind...)
Johnny Depp (can't pick just one)
Gary Oldman (Bram Stoker's Dracula,...)
Jack Lemmon (Some Like It Hot, Missing)
Paul Newman (Cool Hand Luke, The Sting, The Color Of Money...)
Jack Nicholson (can't pick just one)
Al Pacino (can't pick just one)
Robert Deniro (can't pick just one)

Honorable mentions because you only wanted 10
John Malkovich (In The Line Of Fire), Anthony Hopkins (Silence Of The Lambs, Remains Of The Day), Hugh Grant, Kevin Costner, Bill Murray, Kevin Spacey, Harrison Ford, Kevin Kline, Cary Grant (To Kill A Mockingbird), Robin Williams, Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman,...

ACTRESSES
Meryl Streep (Bridges Of Madison County, countless others)
Jodi Foster (The Accused, Silence Of The Lambs, Contact...)
Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking/Bull Durham)
Julia Roberts (Pelican Brief...)
Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth)
Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast At Tiffanys / Roman Holiday)
Nicole Kidman (The Interpreter/Moulin Rouge)
Shirley Maclaine (Terms Of Endearment)
Gwyneth Paltrow (Shakespeare In Love/Sliding Doors)
Meg Ryan (French Kiss)

Honorable mention: Hilary Swank (Boys Don't Cry), Annette Bening, Glenn Close, Diane Keaton, Kate Winslet, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Thompson,...

There. I did it.

Hmmm.... the last 3 entrants look to be a tad late, we may have to have a judge's ruling and replace their #1 actor with William Shatner as a penalty.

I tried! I thought I had another week. I was confusing the deadline with the one for the Desert Island. And I've been a little busy. Maddy's having her birthday party at our house today with 25 teenagers. And I was only off by a few hours. I think I should be cut some slack Please........................

Cary Grant (To Kill A Mockingbird),
I assume you mean Gregory Peck?

(Both fantastic, in any respect.)

Don't worry about it, they're the two most charming actors of all time so it's easy to get confused.
