I like the film Ronin. Not saying it's awesome, not saying it should have won awards...I'm just letting my fellow Zoo Station movie people know that I enjoy it.

I gave it a 2/10

and I still think I am being unduly influenced by 'the sixth sense"
and liking a couple of the actors for work they have done in legit films.

thinking about this film in relationship to his other work

the only way it makes sense - is to conclude that when he spent some time in England he got some bad beef
and has contracted that brain wasting disease

Was it just coincidence that M. Night ICan'tSpellHisLastName only started going around saying "But it's just supposed to be a really fun B movie!" after the early reviews started coming out?

I haven't seen the film yet, but did hear that Shamalamadingdong intended it to be like a '70s B-movie. I'm guessing he's missed the mark on the whole that whole thing. It's gotta have some legitimately cool stuff and fine layer of camp and fun, like Soylent Green, The Omega Man, or Westworld. Even Indy IV, as flawed as it is, felt like a B movie.

The Warriors = fantastic B movie.

Did I mention that I love Ronin?

Watched The Untouchables tonight. Costner's horribly miscast and Connery, Garcia, and even the dude from Starman are friggin' awesome - De Niro's alright, really only shines in the baseball bat scene. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like Morricone's score sounded completely out of place? I don't expect to hear a sax in a climactic chase scene on a roof.

And Planet Terror just kicks too much ass to mention. That may be the only time I've liked Rose McGowan on screen when she has dialogue, or clothes on.

Ronin has an AMAZING car chase to rival anything in The French Connection or Bourne films, and that brutal scene where De Niro performs surgery on himself by using a mirror.

HARDCORE.

Lot of good actors in that one, too.

Yeah, I feel pretty much exactly the same way about Ronin.

Nothing incredibly memorable and certainly not a classic, but I like it.

Sean Bean, Deniro, etc. kick ass.

I haven't seen it in years, though. Own it on VHS, so I might bust it out one of these days.

Ok, I just saw One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest for the first time tonight. I had no prior knowledge of the plot, or anything at all. And I left just completely amazed. Firstly, I absolutely loved it, it was beautiful, funny, and sad. What I don't really feel quite comfortable with is the ending. I mean, The Chief escaped, and he felt "big" and that was amazing, but how did he KNOW that Mac was never going to be the same again? I just...I was so shocked by what he did. It almost felt like, yeah, The Chief got away, but for Mac it felt like the place got him in the end . I don't know. Can anyone offer me perhaps a better explanation, perhaps from the book? Or personal understanding?

Big Trouble In Little China = the ultimate B movie imo...

Ronin is worth the price of admission for the car chase sequences alone.

I enjoy all three Bourne Identity movies, Matt was perfect for them

I watched Licence to Drive the other night for under a quid. OMG, isn’t it funny how if you aint seen an 80s movie for years, how fast every part of it comes back to you, and it feels more like a 20 min long movie?

Gosh, those days I fancied Corey Haim like mad, until I saw Prayer of the Rollerboys – he looked hot, but the movie was ultra-sh*te because rollerblading was the new big thing.
New hobby – lets make a movie including it!

I hope you know how much I unabashedly love Big Trouble in Little China. One of the movies I first watched with the lady friend and she liked it, too.

Arguably my favorite Kurt Russell/John Carpenter flick, apart from The Thing.
