Mods, please sticky this in place of the previous round.

Okay, this is open to EVERYONE. You didn't have to submit a ballot to participate in this final voting.

I had originally intended to do this by official Academy rules, which didn't work out too well. They are dealing with much more people, and had I used their system we would have had like 2 nominees in each category.

What I did was go through the ballots several times. A choice got 3 points if it was mentioned at #1, 2 points if it was listed at #2, and 1 point for #3. My original plan was to eliminate anything that didn't receive at least one #1 or #2 position, but I had to make one exception for that one. I was also forced to look at everyone's #4 slot for tiebreakers in several categories. I also eliminated anything that was only mentioned once.

Essentially, the 5 choices with the most points in each category were selected, though some have less than 5 because of a huge disparity. This was less scientific than I planned, and some of my decisions may have been a little arbitrary. I did not allow personal preference to affect anything here.

And now...the Official Ballot:

FINE.

Haven't seen There Will Be Blood yet though, so I'm unable to consider it in any categories.

Alright, not as high of a turnout as I had hoped (which accounts for the likelihood of ties), but whatever. Perhaps it could have been handled differently through polls or something but there's always next year.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED.

The final tally:

No Country For Old Men: 5 awards
There Will Be Blood: 4 awards
Juno: 1 award
Knocked Up: 1 award
Michael Clayton: 1 award
I'm Not There: 1 award
Sweeney Todd: 1 award
Jesse James: 1 award

If you had a category about celebrity baby names or Johnny Depp, I think you might've gotten some more votes, Laz.

Failing a Johnny Depp motivator you could always threaten to go round people's houses and inject AIDs into their eyeballs before bum raping them with a piston powered sledgehammer if they don't vote.

But until next year, good set of awards up there.
