Hopefully that's all that cracked you up, because Sailing is a great song, VP.

It was your unbridled optimism regarding the abilities of the canvas, I think. It's heartwarming when you show unbridled optimism.

Good lord, if this thread is implying that I should feel shame for liking some of the artists and songs listed, then I should be prostrate with shame.

Said optimism might have been hyperbole.

My world is crushed. Even I was beginning to believe in the canvas.

Regardless, sailing DOES take me away, to where I'm going.

You're not sucking me in again with your hyperbole, mister. I've learned my lesson.

Suit yourself.

It's immaterial, because:

Just a dream and the wind to carry me

And soon I WILL be free.

Why don't you just capitalize the entire song, and be done with it?

Yeah, so, anyway, I weep for a world where I should be ashamed to adore Earth, Wind & Fire, The Commodores, Simple Minds, Crocodile Rock. Even though I'm not a fan of Madonna, there are a handful of her songs that I love, love, love. Even The Spice Girls are fun pop that I really enjoy once a year or so.

So there.

I think I'm with you on that. I'm not ashamed of any of the above. Simple Minds, good lord. Who listed that?

I saw Simple Minds back in the 80s.
The American, Love Song (the few before they became 'popular')

Simple Minds are not a guilty pleasure!

And I'm not ashamed of my love for the Bay City Rollers.
