I'm going to see "The Nutcracker"

This topic doesn't quite fit in with the others on this page But anyway, I'd like to share with you all that I'm going to see "The Nutcracker" by the Moscow Ballet this Thursday !!

http://www.nutcracker.com

I've always LOVED the music to this but I've never seen it properly performed except for kids' Christmas programs I'm really excited. My mom's going with me. My dad and husband just kinda gave us a "look" when we told them about it. As in "there's no way in hell you're getting us to go watch men in tights tippy-toe around a stage for 2 hours"

Such culture for this humble Midwest town could be dangerous.

I've seen it twice

I'm sure you'll have a great time!

I hope so! It's the first real ballet I've ever been to

Plus I find Russian culture absolutely fascinating.

I hope you have a wonderful time, HeartlandSoul!

I love The Nutcracker. I'll never forget seeing it on TV for the first time when I was 11 or 12. I finally got the chance to see it live last year at Christmastime. It was a production by a touring company from Russia. I think it might have even been the Moscow Ballet! I'll have to look for my program to check. I'm sure I still have it somewhere.
