Quick, everyone; tell me how amazing it is until the hypometer is so sky high it couldn't possibly live up to expectations and I end up horribly disappointed.

"Boys don't Cry" = one of the best songs ever

UberBeaver said:Disentegration is one of the greatest albums ever. Plainsong is the greatest opening track of all time. When it kicks in after those chimes, oh man. And Closedown is so awesome. I love this album, and don't really like the Cure all that much.

As people from the Desert Island game might know from my introduction, "Plainsong" is the first song that ever made me cry.
I remember so clearly sitting on the couch in the living room (I would have been about, what?, 14 years old) and my Dad put the cd on and when "Plainsong" finally bursts in, I just got chills over my whole body, goosebumps broke out on my arms and I started to cry.
Music had never done that to me before and I was completely surprised and astounded by my reaction. And in fact, I've never really had a first reaction like that to any piece of music ever again . . . . . at least upon a first listen.
Hope that doesn't set the bar too high, Lemon.
