Igor Larionov is the oldest man in the NHL--older even than Ray Bourque, whose age was a very big deal last year when he won the Cup. His 2 penalties last night notwithstanding (very rare!), he's one of the classiest players in the game right now and probably one of the most brilliant, too. He's the only reason I'm rooting for the Wings--he'll probably retire after this season, and I'd love to see him go out winning the Cup again. I know I had a big ol' rant on the interim boards about Larionov, so here's one for posterity.

Very nice indeed!

And, come to think of it, I always thought that Igor was a very handsome man too, quite frankly.

The last time I became a War Child, on the interim boards, I was talking about Igor Larionov, too. Just thought i'd throw that out there as post #501.

Yeah, so I think Igor kind of proved our point tonight.

Definitely! after triple overtime [yawn, I was up late] it was nice to him give us the momentum to keep going in this series.

Um, maybe we need to start a Larionov thread in PLEBA.

Larionov is the one with the glasses. He kind of looks like Sting.
