hehe....wait what did you say with that irish phrase? can you speak it a bit or were you cheating like me?

:shifty:

see now i'm screwed cos babelfish only has common languages and i was just taking phrases off the bbc...

Yes I am giving serious consideration as to whether I should accompany you.

The phrase that I employed was in regards to the production of wool.

dammit, my multilingual fun hasn't distracted you for long from your discussion of tv shows i've never seen

It did but you showed no interest in the production of wool!

Most of us have no real need to learn Irish at all.

Unless of course you get lost in Donegal or Galway (the land of my ancestors).

apology accepted. :shifty:

i'm still curious about this "wool" though...

callahan, where is that name from? you should know this dammit.

i've been trying to figure out info about the lands of my ancestors, but my dad's side (all russian jews) knows more about that than my mom's side (german, irish, and english)

Connacht?

I’m Irish by way of Galway, Armagh and then Belfast.

So in all actuality my family may be completely Irish in terms of heritage for over two thousand years.

Unlikely but possible.

^ I went to Donegal two years ago, and they all stared at me when I pulled out me mobile phone

I’ve stayed there a number of times.

In fact while I and my Da were at a local pub we were accused of being Anglo-Irish!
