If you could remake ANY movie, what would you do and who would be the stars ?

I'd remake "Valley of the Dolls" but have it way more like the book (the book is pretty good, the movie is over-the-top horrible, but in that really great train wreck kind of way). Denise Richards could play Jennifer North (Sharon Tate's character in the original), Jordanna Brewster as Anne Wells (Barbara Parkins) and Britney Spears as Neely O'Hara (Patty Duke).
I'd also like another crack at adapting "The Sun Also Rises," it's my favorite book and the '50s version did not do it justice. I think Kristin Scott Thomas would be excellent as Lady Brett.

yep patrick is a great johnny i dont think anyone could ever do that part as good as he, but he reminds me of bono a bit, dunno why

I dunno, a remake... I?d do my own film. The great films i know don?t really need a remake (can only get worse than the original), and I?m not interested in remaking the not-that-great flics... oh wait a minute.

I?d choose a film like Purple Rain or Studio 54. Purple Rain too many artist clich?s, Studio 54 not tuff enough.

I?d prefer to create my own, though.

Ok, I *love* the original, it's one of my favorite movies of all time. But, I would love to remake Dr. Zhivago so that I could put Goran Visnjic in the title role and Ioan Gruffudd as Pasha/Strelnikov.

I have no idea who I would pick for Lara or Tonia. I wouldn't mind playing one of them. (But I would probably drag my own remake to depths of crappiness, so I better cast someone else.)

I dont know who I'd pick as Komorovsky either. Someone better looking than Rod Steiger so that Lara's attraction with him makes slightly more sense. (I know it was primarily an age thing, but the book mentions he was handsome.)

I love the original though, I really do....

They have proposed re-making this film (I think the latest was TNT films) but it has not gotten off the ground. I think one day it will, and I think it will not be made as well as ouizy could make it...
