I would have stuck like glue to the Journey era with Steve Perry.
Now there's a NEW Journey line-up and they can't compare to the past members.

In terms of a band that has a large catalog and knows how to play with their sound and style it would be R.E.M. for me; possibly Smashing Pumpkins, especially now that Billy has revived the band.

Bruce Springsteen. He was my favorite before I even knew who U2 were.

If I had to choose an actual band other than U2, it would be REM.

Collective Soul is my strong #2, in fact they are not that far behind U2 in terms of what I listen to (frequency wise).

Top ten would probably look something like this:

1. U2
2. Collective Soul
3. Foo Fighters
4. The Killers
5. We Are Scientists
6. Incubus
7. Our Lady Peace
8. Pearl Jam
9. Elton John
10. Alien Ant Farm

pearl jam... they're already band 1B, so if there were no u2, they'd simply move up to 1A

Definitely Maybe

Morning Glory

Don't Believe The Truth

Everything else by them (Actually, there are some songs on SOTSOG that I enjoy)

So I guess I could give Oasis my approval.
