"Luciano Pavarotti is going metal! Well, the famed opera singer is contributing a guest vocal appearance to a new version of Deep Purple’s ‘Smoke On The Water’. This will appear on an album being put together by Purple frontman Ian Gillan to celebrate his 40 years in the music business."

I saw Pavarotti and a few of his buddys ( Dont remember their names  ) In China a few years back. They performed a concert in the forbidden city... I am not big on opera, but atleast they can belt out those songs..

Sidetracking a wee bit.

Aardvark do you recall which band did a metal version of Swan Lake back in the early 80's/late 70s? I think it was Triumph but I'm having a difficult time locating this piece of music.

Just had a quick search around the net, with no success i'm afraid Beli!
Hey, this is, I think the 3rd time you've asked for my help with sth - and the 3rd time I've failed!

You don't mean the PiL one, right? Was it the whole ballet or just the main theme?

No, not PiL. I wasn't aware PiL had recorded Swan Lake. I must look out for it. Is it good? What album is it on please?

The Triumph (?) version was just the main theme, as far as I'm aware.
