Here is whats gonna happen:

Polls:

1) USC
2) LSU
3) OKLAHOMA

BCS:

1) OKLAHOMA
2) LSU
3) USC

The winner of the OK-LSU will be the coaches #1 and USC will beat Michigan in the Rose bowl to get the AP #1.

Split champions is like smooching your sister.

BCS
Playoffs

from espn.com

Southern California's rise to No. 1 in the polls might not be enough to guarantee the Trojans a spot in the national championship game.

USC took over the top spot in the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll released Sunday morning, a combination of its 52-28 victory over Oregon State on Saturday and previous No. 1 Oklahoma's humbling 35-7 loss to Kansas State in the Big 12 championship game.

However, the Sooners are expected to hold their No. 1 position in the final Bowl Championship Series when the final standings and BCS bowl matchups are announced today (5:30 p.m. ET, ABC). The Trojans' position -- they have been second to the Sooners for weeks -- was weakened due to losses by two of their opponents, Notre Dame and Hawaii, on Saturday.

That being the case, the door is open for LSU as Oklahoma's likely opponent in the Nokia Sugar Bowl. The Tigers routed Georgia 34-13 in the SEC championship game and have the upper BCS hand over USC, according to ESPN's Brad Edwards.

Saturday's turn of events will allow LSU to finish eight spots better than USC in schedule strength. LSU now will be able to overcome a one-point poll deficit to USC, as long as it leads the Trojans in at least six of the seven BCS computers, which is expected to happen, according to Edwards.

USC's only hope was to jump to No. 1 and hope Oklahoma fell to No. 2 in either the coaches' or The Associated Press media poll, according to Edwards. The Sooners fell to third in the coaches' poll, where LSU is second.

Since margin of victory is no longer a consideration in the BCS system, the Sooners will remain the top-ranked team in the majority of BCS ratings -- which in turn will enable them to stay in the top two of the BCS.

say goodnight to the bcs... if this does happen, and the #1 ranked team in the polls doesn't play for the national championship, they're going to have to get rid of the bcs as it currently stands. pete carroll gets the shaft again

If USC beats Michigan in the Rose Bowl (I've got to get tickets now) they will remain #1 in both the AP and Coaches polls. The Sugar Bowl just became irrelevant.

the coaches HAVE to vote the way the final BCS is ranked

so if USC wins it will be a split championship

its their own fault for losing to a not so good Cal team

miami of ohio only has 1 loss and their only loss was to Iowa, who is much better than Cal, thats just the way things go when you lose you leave it up to other factors
