The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
recently the offspring have been sounding like linkin park. i mean that stupid song "defy" you, it followed the same pattern as "in the end".

the offspring released "pretty fly for a white guy". hence this arguement is over. there is no comparrison.

to answer the original thread question though:

--a bunch of bruce springsteen albums
--stiff little fingers--inflamable material
--radiohead--the bends

I think I'm going to rename March 11 as heaven on earth day.

Needless to say, I'm going to be dropping about $40 atleast.

last time this many really good things came out on one day was supposed to be july 9th 2002. chili peppers and counting crows and silverchair, but then the silverchair album ended up getting pushed back to august somethingth.

and i left the essential clash album off my list cos i'm not getting it. EVERYONE here who doesn't already have all the songs (which is the reason i'm not getting it) NEEDS to get that. they need to bump that to #1 on their list straight away

and i approve of your re-naming march 11th "heaven on earth day".

Diorama is amazing.

absolutly true. it's so amazing that just saying it's amazing is an understatement.

everyone here who doesn't have that needs to get that too

i've been meaning to hear badly drawn boy's new album, but keep forgetting. i will remember. i will hear it by the end of the week.

I heard it's pretty good. The soundtrack to about a boy was really good as well.

I know...i know...there are so many great albums out it's hard to keep track of all of them. BTW...your handle reminds me of a song Billy Corgan did with Shudder To Think called "When I Was Born, I Was Bored." It's on the soundtrack to the movie "First Love, Last Rites." Shudder does the whole album with guest vocalists on some of the tracks. Corgan does one as well as Jeff Buckley.

Don't know about all of the selections, I took some out but the ones left are all awesome. The Cure's "Bloodflowers" is always fantastic.

:up:s to thesoulmofo for being brave enough to put his list in categories

i would like to get more albums by

autechre
boards of canada - geogaddi (listened to it in the store a few weeks ago and was impressed)
underworld - their latest
sigur ros von
gybe - lift your skinny fists... (i dont have it yet :| )
future sound of london - the isness
nickelback - theory of a nickeldefaultback twenty
beck - mellow gold
neil young - something classic, i have nothing by him, though i think id tend to go with anything that has cinammon girl on it.

thats about it for now.

bear--- get Neil Young's Decade

3 record set on 2 CDs... it's got cinammon girl, down by the river, after the gold rush, southern man, heart of gold, and lots more...

though I haven't listened to mine in a while :reject:

there's two cds i want to buy but now i can't remember the names of them!!! all i can remember is they were by the same artist and i believe the only two albums the artist has released. but i'm just stuck right now!

also, the duran duran box set is coming out soon. i don't remember the date, but i don't have to; since i pre-ordered it. get this: it's cheaper for me to get it from the uk! (yes, i'm also factoring international shipping, and this is even with the us version having free shipping.)

oh, and i'm looking forward to whenever japan's remastered cds come out.

and finally, the new duran duran and new U2 albums.

Yeah bear decade is the one to get if you want neil's best, although the live version of cinnamon girl kicks butt also, so I'd recommend getting live rust too. If you get those you'll have the same Neil Young albums as me.

Albums I need to get...um, I'm not going to bother starting my list as it'll never finish!! I do keep a .doc of all the cds I do have though just so I never buy anything twice ;)
