I thought Toyota's were supposed to be quality cars?

Bought Che a new Toyota Corolla on Monday.

Wednesday nite, the "Check Engine" light comes on.

We've put 15 miles on it, and it needs service.

I love my 1998 Ford Mustang. Have had it now for over 2 years and have not once had to do any service on it other than routine oil changes and simple maintenance.

i had the same thing happen to me when I got my Xterra. I know it's stupid, but check the gas cap. Make sure it's tight, if it's not it'll cause the check engine light to come on for whatever reason.

Don't ever buy Ford. Your car will be recalled as soon as you leave the lot.

I checked my gas cap and it is fine. I spoke with my mechanic about it and he is going to check it out.

I bought a 2006 Mazda 3 just recently in September. Soon afterwards, in about a month, I hit a nasty pothole in the rain and it bent my front rim and screwed up the wheel alignment! To make things worse, the Check Engine light came on and disappeared in a few days for no apparent reason. Plus, there's a manufacturing defect in the Braking System that even Mazda has no fix for, yet! Otherwise it's running great and looks pretty good too.
