Oh my f@#*ing god, you cant even compare McCartneys solo work to Lennons. John Lennon evolved and recorded some classic, deeply felt music. I really feel the best was yet to come for Lennon and far from peaking, I think he was about to get his best stuff recorded before he was shot. God only knows if he had met Bono in the early days. . . .

Yeah, Double Fantasy was a groundbreaking work of art.

Paul is my least favourite Beatle. While I understand his greatness, I don't appreciate it the way I appreciate Lennon, who was much more dynamic, dark, and eclectic. It's just a taste thing.

Harrison is easily my number 2.

Harrison's All Things Must Pass is the best Beatle solo album, but John's catalogue is the best as a whole

Songs like God, Working Class Hero, Mind Games, How Do You Sleep, Gimme Some Truth, Love, Instant Karma, Jealous Guy, Happy Xmas, Watching The Weels, Imagine, Out Of Blue, Nobody Loves You, etc, etc are better than anything Paul wrote after Tug Of war in 1982

I love paul, I love his personality and his music. But I just don't think his solo stuff had that edge to it like John's did.
Plus paul didn't write instant karma..

But I think "edge" is overrated.
