Oh my f@#*ing god, you cant even compare McCartneys solo work to Lennons. John Lennon evolved and recorded some classic, deeply felt music. I really feel the best was yet to come for Lennon and far from peaking, I think he was about to get his best stuff recorded before he was shot. God only knows if he had met Bono in the early days. . . .

Yeah, Double Fantasy was a groundbreaking work of art.

No More Lonely Nights is the only tune that's close to lennon's stuff
the rest.....

So Sgt. Pepper took you by suprise,
You better thru that mother's eyes,
Those freaks was right when they said you was dead,
The one mistake you made was in your head,
How do you sleep?
Ah how do you sleep at night?
You live with straights who tell you you was king,
Jump when your mamma tell you any thing,
The only thing you did was yesterday,
And since your gone you're just another day,
How do you sleep?
Ah how do you sleep at night?
A pretty face may last a year or two,
But pretty soon they'll see what you can do,
The sound you make is muzak to my ears,
You must have learnt something all thos years,
How do you Sleep?
Ah how do you sleep at night?
Yeah congrats on posting the same thing twice.

Give My Regards To Broad Street is a masterpiece of an album

Paul is my least favourite Beatle. While I understand his greatness, I don't appreciate it the way I appreciate Lennon, who was much more dynamic, dark, and eclectic. It's just a taste thing.

Harrison is easily my number 2.

Paul has a way more successful career, but John's put paul's onto shame, artistically speaking

Paul has never had the courage to write a song like God

Harrison's All Things Must Pass is the best Beatle solo album, but John's catalogue is the best as a whole

Songs like God, Working Class Hero, Mind Games, How Do You Sleep, Gimme Some Truth, Love, Instant Karma, Jealous Guy, Happy Xmas, Watching The Weels, Imagine, Out Of Blue, Nobody Loves You, etc, etc are better than anything Paul wrote after Tug Of war in 1982

I love paul, I love his personality and his music. But I just don't think his solo stuff had that edge to it like John's did.
Plus paul didn't write instant karma..

Instant Karma is by far my favorite solo Lennon song.

But I think "edge" is overrated.

(Not THE Edge - he's perfectly rated. )
