ok we all know i can't cook :reject:

so i'm hungry and i want to make some biscuits.
only problem is i'm out of aluminum foil which is what i usually line the baking sheet with.
i do have some cooking parchment paper.
can i put that down instead of the foil?
or will i start a big fire in my oven if i do?

what kind of cooking parchment?
if it is baking paper, then yes
other than that, why dont you butter the tray to aviod the biscuits sticking

yeah it is baking parchment.

well i don't have anything else LOL

and i was at the store tonite and forgot to buy the foil :banghead:

maybe i'll just wait and make the biscuts tomorrow or sunday

ABEL...are you meaning biscuits in the US sense or in the rest of the world sense?

If it's in the US sense I don't use any liner or even grease the pan and the biscuits I make don't stick. The key is getting a light coating of flour on the bottoms before you put them on the baking sheet.

Good luck!

ABEL, dearest. wait for rono. he will ensure you eat well and pose no threat to your neighbours or the building in general.

Aha! The parchment should work if you don't have foil. Probably will work even if you do have foil.

in 7 minutes we'll know if i start a fire or not :uhoh: :reject:

:crossesfingers:

i didn't burn anything down :applaud:

and the biscuits were

they actually cooked a little faster...i perfer mine on the not-so-golden-brown side actually so usually i leave them in 8 minutes. they were actually quite golden brown by the time i got them out of the oven at 8 minutes.

i guess parchment paper is actually more environmentally friendly than aluminum foil is too?
maybe i should use it more often :hmm:
