oh dear. i've heard a lot about this film), so i was happy to see it in the library (and i did want to take a break from French art-house movies for a while). and i'm glad i borrowed it. it's such a simple story but it's so awfully lovely.

this film is from the olden days

ive never seen this.
everyone talks about it

but
i cant be bothered.

it takes a while for films to reach the colonies...( well video stores in the colonies)
I watched "The Gangs of New York" last night.
My goodness!!! No wonder Daniel Day-Lewis only makes a film every six years. It has disturbed me...I can't begin to imagine what it did to him.
To counterbalance the sorrow ( I had a voucher for 2 movies) I borrowed "Crackerjack" a nonsensical Aussie movie. I'll watch that tomorrow night.
I saw Princess Bride on TV some time ago...romantic comedy is my favourite genre I think.
